Spring is in the Air: Three Considerations for “Spring Cleaning” Your Business

April 12, 2022 by Chelsey Kamen Leave a Comment

While San Diego is beautiful year-round, there’s something special about springtime here. The marine layer makes for cozy mornings, then the sunshine breaks through for active afternoons. Nature begins to awaken after a season of slumber – the weather starts warming up, birds sing, flowers bloom. Spring is full of action!

In its alternative, less floral definition, Spring is “a leap, jump or bound” and as a verb “to rise, leap, move” – it’s no wonder that this time of year stirs up energy within us and inspires change. Whether it’s spring cleaning, a fresh start, making new relationships, reconnecting with old relationships, trying something different, taking risk or just dusting off an old project – there’s always room to make improvements that spring us forward for the rest of the year.

In the spirit of the season, here are three considerations to help “spring clean” your business:

  1. Brighten up your brand:

Like spring cleaning for your house, think of a brand refresh like a fresh coat of paint. Is it time to dust off your brand design and update your visual representation? A brand refresh is a great opportunity to realign messaging with visuals and create consistency, like the campaign we worked on for Palomar College, or the work we did on our very own Seas the Day products. It may include tweaking your logo, color palette, trying a new font, or sprucing up your marketing materials. Over the next few months, Intesa will be spring cleaning its brand and giving it a fresh look. Stay tuned for more!

  2. Message makeover:

Who are you and why is your business important? Does your community and local media know what you’re up to? Intesa’s PR and GR teams are experts at helping organizations of all sizes communicate their why with confidence. From community outreach and public relations, to communication workshops like the ones we held for San Diego State University’s leadership, Intesa helps clients develop clear messaging combined with strategic communications to reach the right audiences.

  3. Curate creativity!

We all know the grind, the age-old struggle of achieving work-life balance. Does it even exist? You may also be wondering how that relates to creativity. Well, at Intesa we believe in work-life balance and can prove that it fosters a culture of creativity. Our flexible, hybrid work environment allows employees to choose when and where they do their best work. We believe that if our people are happy and able to invest in themselves, they’ll show up as their best selves. At Intesa, we work hard, play hard, and support one another. This culture stimulates award-winning creative communications strategies and solutions for our clients.

How does Spring inspire you? Is it time for new beginnings, ideas, or opportunities? Let us know in the comments! And, if you need a little nudge from the Intesa team, don’t hesitate to reach out.
