At Intesa, we are abundantly grateful for many things— the amazing clients we have trust in and the meaningful work we engage in, all in service of inspiring causes we believe in. And we get to do it in a place we thrive in with furry pets at our feet as we bring our A-game… Every. Single. Day. And, when our hard work, and the partners we do it with, are awarded and recognized by industry leaders not once, but twice – it takes our gratitude to the next level!
Here’s what happened. In spring, the leadership at Palomar College tapped Intesa to create, design, and plan the college’s first-ever fully-integrated fall enrollment marketing campaign. We immediately rolled up our sleeves and created a dynamic, bi-lingual, multi-channel public relations campaign to shine a light on Palomar College and the life-changing educational and career opportunities offered there. Ninety-five days after we were engaged by the client, Intesa and Palomar College rolled out “Palomar Makes it Possible” in English and Spanish across printed collateral, signage, media, and web, creating buzz and excitement throughout the region.
Imagine our delight when enrollment increased by 3%, we and “Palomar Makes it Possible” garnered the 2019 Silver Mark of Merit by the Public Relations Society of America, San Diego-Imperial County. And the hits kept coming! Less than a week later, the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals awarded the PR campaign with its 2019 MarCom Marc of Excellence Gold Award.
While we’re proud of these commendations, we’re even more pleased about the campaign’s outcomes. From attracting new students to honoring the college’s passionate, hard-working leadership and faculty, “Palomar Makes it Possible” continues to open eyes and hearts to the importance of higher education and a brighter future offered at Palomar College. At Intesa, we think that’s the best award of all.
