We know North County.
Intesa’s North County San Diego team is made of North County residents who have a personal perspective on what makes our 78 Corridor, unincorporated communities, and coastal neighborhoods thrive. Our personal relationships with local elected, civic, and business leaders allow us a unique opportunity to showcase projects at their very best to achieve client success.
From lobbying and public engagement to media training and crisis support, our award-winning team can help you get the talk right north of the 52; just like we’ve done for these fine folks:
Integral Communities | North River Farms
Intesa is the trusted government affairs partner to Integral Communities as it pursues zoning-change approval for Oceanside’s first-ever agrihood, North River Farms.
This one-of-a-kind and sustainably-planned North County community is in Oceanside’s South Morro Hills region. North River Farms’ planned 585 homes, a network of trails and parks, and a 31-acre production farm centers around agriculture, education, and a farm-to-table lifestyle.
Through government relations and community outreach, Intesa helps the North River Farms team better navigate administrative intricacies, as well as engage community members through strategic communications and informative events that garner understanding of and support for the project.
Palomar Community College | Palomar Makes it Possible
In 2019, Palomar Community College tapped Intesa to create and project manage a full-scale public relations and marketing campaign to increase interest in the high-quality programming and faculty at its San Marcos, Rancho Bernardo and Fallbrook campuses. The summer Palomar Makes it Possible campaign ran from June through August in a push for Fall enrollment. The coordinated, high-touch effort included:
- a new campaign landing page;
- direct mail;
- radio, print, digital and outdoor advertising;
- media outreach [watch the KUSI-TV segment]
- on-site communications and media training;
- collateral and give-a-way design; and,
- eight student success feature stories. [read Kena’s story]
Today, Intesa continues to lead Palomar’s government relations planning, as well as serve as a reputation-management and media relations resource.
New Urban West | Marja Acres
New Urban West (NUWI) selected Intesa to guide them through strategic community development and government relations efforts in the City of Carlsbad as they pursue approval of a new mixed-use development, Marja Acres.
Intesa’s purposeful approach targets civic and community leaders and local organizations to generate project awareness, support and ultimately, approval by City Council. Designed for 250 market-rate townhomes situated close to major employment hubs, an urban farm, 46 senior affordable units and a commercial hub, this livable community offers something for everyone.
Our team offers intentional guidance for outreach tactics, collateral, communication techniques, and big picture solutions to help our client navigate the intricacies of the City of Carlsbad’s government structure, vision plan, and outreach approach.
