Knowledgeable, strategic, savvy. These are a few of the words that come to mind when folks think of the Intesa team. We’re keen on staying sharp, hip to trends, and in-tune with industry best practices. Here’s a peek at what we’re listening to and soaking up to keep our offerings leading-edge:
Mindy Wright, Account Manager
The social media marketing landscape changes at light-speed. New features roll-out, interfaces are updated, new metrics become available, algorithms change the numbers game… the changes can be dizzying, and they have an immediate effect on our clients. Social Pros Podcast is Mindy’s go-to to catch all the important updates that keep our social strategies ahead of the curve.
Mindy turns to the PM for the Masses Podcast for new ways to manage projects smoothly and tips for better self-development and management skills. She listens to the Poetry Off the Shelf podcast to remind herself of the beauty in communication and spark creativity around language.
Matt Morse, Digital Director
Did you know that 27% of all websites on the internet powered by WordPress? The blogging and website content management system certainly is our go-to website platform. Matt stays up-to-date on all things WordPress on the official WordPress blog. He also keeps up with general digital trends on Coding Horror and by listening to the Accidental Tech Podcast.
And of course, we couldn’t have an in-house technology shop without some geekery. Matt gets his fill on the Nintendo Life blog — because who doesn’t love Mario and Zelda, right?
Haley Wonsley, Senior Account Manager
Haley is our resident expert on all things North County San Diego. She follows North County Chambers of Commerce on social media and also receives their newsletters, including the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce, Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, San Marcos Chamber of Commerce, and the North San Diego Business Chamber.
The New York Times podcast The Daily is a part of Haley’s morning routine as it keeps her up-to-speed on national news in 22 minutes a day. She’s also a big fan of Revisionist History, This American Life and Serial for her commuting entertainment.
Maddy Kilkenny, Partner
You can find Maddy on Twitter. In fact, you should find Maddy on Twitter, like right now, and follow her. Maddy uses Twitter to keep an eye and an ear on what’s happening in San Diego government, politics, and business. Twitter is where news hits first, so there’s always something to learn if you just scroll up to refresh.
Maddy also loves podcasts Ear Hustle, The Dropout, and The Moth for commute entertainment and she recommends New York Times bestselling political thriller Red Notice for a little light reading.
Margie Newman, Founding Partner
Our founder is on the road a lot lately and has recently discovered the joys of Audible and its plethora of audio books. She’s currently listening to Malcom Gladwell’s newest offering Talking to Strangers, with Robert Iger’s Ride of a Lifetime on deck.
Margie finds leadership inspiration by listening to the Build a Better Agency podcast, and has recently discovered Fuoco’s How It’s Done podcast for curious marketers. She’s mildly addicted to Gladwell’s Revisionist History and NPR’s Hidden Brain podcasts. Margie often finds her Zen in Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations.
